Season 2: Episode 12: An Update With STATE CHAMPION SANDRA DESOUZA & Coach Pruett
The last time we spoke with Sandra DeSouza, she was gearing up for the biggest challenge of her career—a shot at a state title. Now, after months of relentless training, determination, and hard-fought battles, she has officially earned the title of state champion! But this victory isn’t just hers alone; it’s also a defining moment for her coach, Troy Pruett, who has been by her side for the past three years, witnessing her growth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
For Coach Pruett, this milestone is both triumphant and bittersweet. Not only is Sandra his first athlete to claim a state title, but she is also the program’s first champion since the early 1980s—a historic accomplishment that cements his legacy as a coach.
